On Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at home surrounded by her family and friends, Deborah (Berge) Stone lost her long and courageous battle with cancer.

Debbie was born in Butte on Feb. 10, 1964, to Robert and Patricia Berge. She spent most of her life in Butte, but was proud to call Kona, Hawaii, home for a short time.

She attended Emerson Elementary, graduated from Butte High School then continued her education to obtain her license practical nursing license from Montana Tech. She fulfilled her dream of becoming a nurse with 18 years at Montana State Hospital, where she met life-long friends that she considered her second family.

Debbie enjoyed crocheting, camping, fishing, tinkering with electronics until she had them mastered, and spending any spare time enjoying the waterfalls with her family at Lost Creek.

Debbie married her first husband and life-long friend Mark Tallon and together they were blessed with two beautiful children, Troy and Jenny. She later met and married her true love and life-long companion, Randy Stone, who devoted his life to her, never leaving her side.

She was a strong, capable, kind, proud and often stubborn woman who devoted her life to her family. Her whole family looked up to her and admired her strength and beauty.

Debbie will be sadly missed by so many. She is proceeded in death by her father, Bob Berge, and grandparents, Wes and Jenny Mitchell, and Johnny and Goldie Stephen.

She is survived by her loving husband, Randy Stone; mother, Patricia Berge-Bilteau (Charlie Bilteau); sons, Troy Berge (Courtney Berge), Harrison and Adam Stone; daughters, Jenny Finnegan (Bob Carpino), Krista Stone, and Kandi Palton (Rob Palton); sisters, Pam Pennell, Patti Berge-Collins (Mike Collins), Shanda and Sarah Berge; brother, Bob Berge; grandchildren, Hallie (Angelbaby) Charon, Brekon Finnegan, Derek, Rylan, Trace and Landon Berge, Emilee Stone, MacKenzie Allen; Aunty Carolyn and Paul Kissell, Aunty Deana and Ed Larson, Uncle Mike Berge; nieces and nephews, Cody, Neveah, Bo, Jada, Dillion and Bladen Berge, Adam, Alyssa, Dene, Kaleb, and Aiden Collins, Andrea and Jaxon Baker; special friends, Patti Boggess, Mary Andreoli, Rachel Clark, Marta LaTray-Michels, and Julie Latray.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life reception will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, at The Front Street Station, 800 E. Front St., Butte.
