Robert (Buddy) F. Kroll, of Avon, formerly of Collinsville, and Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. He was born June 6, 1932 in New Britain to the late Albert and Julia (Donegan) Kroll. Buddy is survived by two daughters, Patrice K. Zubrowski and her husband Joseph of Torrington and Kathleen K. Hull and her husband Donald of Avon, his grandchildren, Robert Kittredge and his wife Julie and Allyson Zajac and her husband Kenneth, four great grandchildren all of Torrington and his younger brother, Raymond J. Kroll of Berlin. His wife Maureen (Smith) Kroll predeceased him 12 years ago after 49 years of marriage. Buddy was a former West Hartford Police Officer retiring after 25 years of devoted service to the town and then was a State of CT court officer for GA 16 in West Hartford for 5 years. Buddy was a proud United States Marine Corp Sgt. serving in Korea, a former member of the Canton and Collinsville Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the American Legion both CT and FL posts. Funeral and burial were private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
