Pope - William W. “Woody” Baker, Jr., 65, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis. Service will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 5 at Forest Hill South with visitation starting at 12 noon. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. Mr. Baker was an U.S. Army Veteran and retired from AT&T. Woody is preceded in death by a daughter, Erin Baker and his father, William W. Baker, Sr. He leaves his wife, Pam Baker; two children: Tracey Mays of Southaven and Trip Baker of Pope, MS; his mother, Laverne Baker and sister, Linda Denley both of Pope, MS; brother, Alvin Baker of Memphis and 3 grandchildren: Mollie, Anna and Kolby.
