Edith G. Kenley Riley, 96, of Valley View, Ohio, formerly of Rural Valley, and St. Cloud, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, at Brentwood Health Care Center, Sagamore Hills, Ohio. She was born July 12, 1918, to Albert H. and Vertie Irene (Boarts) Geidel, in Kittanning. Edith is survived by her daughter, Joanne I. Bernstein, of Valley View, Ohio; son, Walter E. (Brenda) Kenley, of Marienville; two brothers, Kenneth E. (Leona) Geidel and Glenn A. (Ruth) Geidel; grandchildren, Ron, Ken and Steve Bernstein and Jason, Adam and Jennifer Kenley; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, S. Walter Kenley; second husband, Edward J. Riley; brother, Russell A. Geidel and wife, Ruth; and son-in-law, Ronald Bernstein. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at CARSON/BOYER FUNERAL HOME INC, 724 W. Main St., Rural Valley. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Rural Valley Cemetery. http://www.carsonboyer.com.
