Matthew Harper - November 29, 1931 - December 31, 2014

Matthew J. Harper, age 83 was born on November 29, 1931, in Chicago, IL and went on to his eternal rest December 31, 2014.

Matt was married to his beloved wife Marguerite for 60 years.

Matt graduated from Jones Commercial High School in Chicago and attended the University of Indiana.

He was a proud Marine that served our country in Korea, 1951 & 1952. Matt was a member of the VFW and the American Legion and served as Post Commander of the Stevens-Doyle American Legion Post in Chicago.

Matt had tremendous love for his family, faith, and America.

He enjoyed his 39 years with the Sales Department of Chevrolet Motor Division. He was assigned in Milwaukee, Green Bay, Chevrolet Central Office in Detroit, and his last assignment was Zone Manager in Minneapolis, MN.

Matt and Marguerite enjoyed their winter Hide-A-Way in Fort Myers, FL and volunteered at the VA Clinic.

Matt was the loving father of 3 daughters, 4 sons and the late Danny Harper.

He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Matt is brother of the late William and John Harper.

His Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Hamburg, MI. There will be a 10:00 Visitation followed by Mass at 11:00 AM.
