Lily Bernice, who chose to go by the name Bernice was a lover of nature and has passed this trait to all of her children and grandchildren.

In the twilight years of her time remaining on this earth, she was fortunate to spend many priceless hours with her family. She enjoyed gardening, and always found time to partake in her happy hours. With her drink in one hand and a smoke in the other, she spent her last days happy and on her own terms.

Bernice's last wishes was to be cremated and her ashes spread on the Suwannee river. So sending the monarch out with a bang, her wishes were carried out grandly with her family picnicking and in honor of her memory, Bernice is happily one with nature in the surroundings that she so enjoyed.

So long dear Bernice, rest in paradise with our heavenly father, you are sorely missed and will never be forgotten.

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then someone at my side says: "There, she is gone!"

"Gone Where?"

Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.

Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: "There, she is gone!" there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout: "Here she comes !"

And that is dying.
