Barbara Joyce Mathews, resident of rural Owasso, passed away Wednesday evening, December 31, 2014 at the age of 90 years. Barbara was born January 26, 1924 in Newton, Mississippi to James and Anna Sue (Knight) Dyar.
On June 6, 1942, Barbara was united in marriage to Willard Mathews in Quartzsite, Arizona. Willard preceded her in death on June 20, 2005.

Besides her husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, a son Wayne Mathews, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church, Owasso with Pastor Chad Balthrop officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8pm on Monday evening January 5th at Mowery Funeral Service.
Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
