Scott Clare Howard, age 52 years of Owendale, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.

He was born in Pigeon on June 8, 1962 and was the son of Walter and Carol (Fredenburg) Howard. He graduated in 1981 from Owendale-Gagetown High school, where he had played high school sports. Scott began working for Delphi in 2006 and currently worked for Nexteer. He used to bowl, play pool, and hunt. He loved to golf, and enjoyed snowmobiling and auto racing.

Scott is survived by a son, Joshua S. Howard of Ann Arbor; his parents, Walter and Carol Howard of Owendale; siblings, Arnie (Loretta) Howard of Owendale, and Kendall Howard of Owendale; special family, Roberta (Clive) Moore of Bay City, Willa Radabaugh of Caro, Walter (Kaye) Swiastyn of Gagetown, and Nick Swiastyn of Elkton; nephews, Derek, Cody, Drew, and Chase; several great nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

The Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2015 at the Meyersieck-Bussema Funeral Home, Pigeon, with Pastor Bill Cleland, Owendale United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Grant Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund. Memories may be shared online at meyersieckbussemafuneralhome.com
