Birth date could be 10/4/1828 in Harrison County, Kentucky or 11/24/1828 in Jefferson County, Kentucky.
Milton (as he was known in records) was married at least 4 times. He married his first wife Mary in 1852. They had a daughter Eliza and son Douglas. Mary died in 1860.
His second marriage was to Amanda in 1861. They had seven children: Emma, Sarah, Ora, John, Iva, Lacy and Willie. Amanda died in 1879.
His third marriage was to Emily in 1880. They had one son, Elmer. Emily appears to have died 13 days after Elmer was born.
Milton may have married Jeanetta in 1884. There exists some family tree information which I have been unable to substantiate with records that Milton and Jeanetta had two daughters, both of whom died in infancy.

"In 1991, Harold Slade, a local historian who helped start the Cynthiana-Harrison County Museum, walked Salem Church of Christ Cemetery and wrote down the information on every gravestone. He noted that John Milton Fryman does not have a grave marker. Mr. Slade added information to his listing from information he found at the museum. He indicated in his notes that John Milton Fryman was born October 4, 1828; however, I do not know his source. Mr. Slade died in 2013 (Memorial #107406007). If you read his obituary, you'll see he was dedicated to history and genealogy. I knew him as a reputable man who would not publish inaccurate information."
