John joined the Navy at age 17 and was stationed in San Diego, CA. It was there that he met and married the love of his life, Marianne. They were married 63 years. John was the head custodian at Paradise High School until he retired in 1999. He loved the students and staff, they in return loved him. He was so appreciated the school honored him with "John Kinsey Day". He loved the outdoors, hunting and spending summers camping with his family in the High Lakes. He found great joy in gardening and feeding the birds. He was a gentle soul with a generous spirit and hearty laugh.
John is survived by his wife; Marianne, his daughter; Joanne Snyder and her husband George of Troy, Montana, his two sons; Steve Kinsey and his wife Trudy, and Dave Kinsey all of Paradise. He is also survived by two sisters; Charlotte and Norma and three brothers; Bob, Chuck, and Mike. He also leaved behind three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service for John will be held at Hope Christian Church 6933 Pentz Road, Paradise, CA on January 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. His final resting place will be Skyway Memorial Park. View obituary and send condolences online at www.nbcfh.com.
