Edna P. Bowman, 97, Johnson City, entered into rest, Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at John M. Reed Nursing Home.
Mrs. Bowman was born in Mitchell County, NC and had lived in Johnson City most of her life.
She was a daughter of the late Zack and Deborah Whitson Peterson and was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Bowman; four brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Bowman was a member of Grace Freewill Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Joe Bowman and wife, Dalene, Johnson City; two daughters, Carolyn Gingrich and husband, Richard, Manheim, PA and Judy Crouch and husband, John, Taos, NM; nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family expresses a special thanks to the staff of John M. Reed Nursing Home for their kind, compassionate care of Mrs. Bowman. A private family committal service was held at Washington County Memory Gardens, Johnson City, TN.
