George C. Boyd, 91, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Mifflin Care Center. He was born on February 2, 1930 in Buchanan County, Virginia to the late Robert and Lily Boyd.

George was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and worked for a number of years at Westinghouse.

George is survived by his daughter, Janet Boyd; grandchildren, Kerrigan, Ian, Paul and Erin; three great-grandchildren; and nephew, Garry Dishong.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Roberta (Beer) Boyd; son, Brian Carter Boyd; and siblings, Handy, Dewitt, Frazier, Fanning, Crawford and Josephine.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2021 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario, Ohio 44906. A private graveside service will be observed. He will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park.
