Funeral for John O. Hazlett, 69, Lawton will be at 1:30 PM Tuesday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Dr. William F. Watkins officiating. Mr. Hazlett died Wednesday, November 9, 2011 in Midwest City. Arrangements are under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

He was born June 22, 1942 in Middlefield, Ohio to Waldo and Lena Hazlett. He graduated from Orwell High School in Ohio in 1960. In December of that year he joined the Army where he was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. There he met Paulette Rowe and they were married February 16, 1962 in Walters, Oklahoma. He was honorably discharged in 1963.

From there he started working for Sesco Electric Supply Company where he retired as general manager in 2008. His hobbies included NASCAR, fishing, hunting, camping and collecting die cast cars and NASCAR memorabilia.

Survivors include his wife, of the home, a daughter, Amber Seavert, two grandchildren, Aliana Seavert and Joshua Seavert, Jr., all of the home, a sister, Helen Little, Chardon, Ohio, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Donna Morris, Lawton and Raymond D. and Terri Rowe, Oklahoma City, an aunt, Sina Greenwalt, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Barber.
