Connie Gibson of West Liberty, KY., passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015, at Morgan County ARH, West Liberty, at the age of 71 years, 4 months, and 26 days.
She was born on Friday, August 6, 1943, daughter of the late Frank and June Bell Adkins Dingus.
Connie was united in marriage to Chalmer Gibson.
This union was blessed with four children, Peggy Sue, Marcus Chalmer, Stella, and Joseph.
She later married Arlie Gilliam.
She was a homemaker devoting her life to care for her family and her home. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Chalmer Gibson, her second husband, Arlie Gilliam, one son, Joseph Gibson, two brothers, Calvin Dingus and Marcus Dingus, and four sisters, Mona Barker, Vivian Purcell, Shirley Dingus, and Ruth Dingus.
Connie is survived by three children, Peggy Sue and Curt Hopkins, Marcus Chalmer Gibson all of West Liberty, KY., and Stella and Chad Kyle of Morehead, KY., four grandchildren, Benjamin Gibson, Gabriel Redd, Gabrielle Reed, and David Kyle, two sisters, Zelma Purcell and Sandra Reed; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 2 p.m., Sunday, January 4, 2015, at the Potter Funeral Home, with Elder Jimmy Adkins and Bro. Hobart Dunn officiating. Burial to follow in the Gibson Family Cemetery, Brushy Fork RD, Caney, KY.
Pallbearers: Joe Gibson, Benny King, Benjamin Gibson, Chad Kyle, Gabriel Reed, Darren Reed, Eddison Dingus, and David Reed.
