She had been born on December 19, 1938 on the island of Aruba where her father was an engineer at Standard Oil’s Lago refinery there.
After graduating from the Lago High School she attended The University of Maine earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Education followed by a Master’s Degree inEducation from Northeastern University and later a Master of Library Science Degree from Simmons College. She worked as a teacher in the Maine and Massachusetts School Systems and later as a corporate librarian in Environmental Science and Research.
Deanna was a member of Riverside Presbyterian Church for many years, active in Bible study, in Women’s Circles, and in the church choir. She also sang with the Sweet Adelines organization, and was an avid member of the whimsical Red Hat Society. She had a lifelong love of fireworks displays.
Dee is predeceased by her father and mother, Stanly and Margaret Chapman, by her brother Clifford Chapman, and by her son Michael Lynn. She is survived by her loving husband Fredrick Robinson, her children Kenneth Lynn and Kathryn DeMoranville, and grandchildren Benjamin Lynn, Aaron Lynn, Michael DeMoranville and Mark DeMoranville – brother, Kenneth Chapman, and by countless additional family and friends who admired her wonderful loving spirit and loved her abundantly in return.
A Memorial Service and celebration of her life will be held at Riverside Presbyterian Church, Cocoa Beach, FL on Friday,January 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM.
