Kathryn Copeland Evans, age 93, of Hoschton, GA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. Kathryn was born in Elk Garden, West Virginia on June 16, 1923 and moved to Logan Village in Dundalk in 1950, and then to Dundalk Farms in 1970, and resided since 2011 in The Bentley Assisted Living in Jefferson, GA. She was predeceased by her husband Junior Martin Evans, May 12, 1996 and son Lawrence Edward Evans, December 24, 2010. She was survived by her son Terry Martin Evans and wife Violet of Hoschton, GA; four grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. While in Dundalk, Kathryn was an active member of the Dundalk United Methodist Church, serving on many committees. Kathryn retired as the Adjutant Secretary from the Department of the Army School of Intelligence at Fort Holabird, MD. She spent her free time studying her Bible, reading, sewing, crocheting and traveling. Kathryn has been to all fifty states and several foreign countries. The trip she talked about the most was her trip to the Holy Lands with her family, where she ‘put her feet to her Bible studies’ and walked where Jesus walked. Funeral services were held in Elk Garden, WV, and Kathryn was laid to rest at Nethkin Hill, Elk Garden on February 11, 2017.
