COLUMBIA - Erma Houchin Sisson, of Columbia, formerly of Bowling Green, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, in the University Medical Center in Columbia at the age of 95.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, at 11 a.m. at Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Rev. Keith Barnhart of Edgewood Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Bowling Green Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The daughter of James Grant and Melissa Jane (Ince) Houchin, Erma was born Dec. 18, 1911. She was united in marriage to Pike Curtis Sisson on Nov. 12, 1927, and this union was blessed with three children.
Erma is survived by one son, Kenneth Sisson, of Bowling Green; one daughter, Patty and husband Louis Grote of Kansas City; 10 grandchildren: Gary Tolbert, Rhonda Sisson Chandler, Marty Tolbert, Marcia Tolbert Rogers, Monte Sisson, Kevin Grote, Curtis Tolbert, Brenda Grote Niemeyer, Tory Sisson Spadafora; 15 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in memory of Erma Sisson to the Edgewood Baptist Church or to the American Diabetes Association.
