Funeral service for Peggy Jean Robinson Hooten, age 79, of Point, will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, 11:00 am, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory. Richard Kellum will officiate. Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery. Peggy was born in Point, Oct. 8, 1935, to Raymond Clifford and Ida Mae Cooper Robinson. She married Charles Leighton Hooten, in El Paso, on May 31, 1954. Peggy worked for and retired from Garland Power & Light Co. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Point. Survivors include: Husband: Leighton Hooten of Point; Son: Clay Hooten (Wendy) of Greenville; Daughter: Starla Childress (Robert) of Forney; Sister: Betty Moseley (Walter Floyd) of Point; Grandchildren: Beau Hooten and Laci Samuel; Great-grandchildren: Olivia and Abigail Hooten; Numerous other loving family and friends; Preceded in death by: parents
