Funeral services were held for Mary Sue Payne, 90, of Rt. 5, Greenville, at 2 p.m. Friday, December 29 in the United Methodist Church of Lone Oak.
Burial was held in the Lone Oak Cemetery with the Rev. Francis Sale and the Rev. Pitts Davis officiating.
Miss Payne died Wednesday, December 27, in a Greenville nursing home.
She was born in Lone Oak Aug. 31, 1888, the daughter of Henry and Mary Slemmons Payne. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the United Methodist Church in Lone Oak.
Survivors include: two sisters, Mrs. Katy Bailey and Mrs. Amelia Crowe, both of Wolforth, and several nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers were Guy Payne, James Slemmons, Raymond Stevens, Archie Crabtree, Billy Bob Bryan and Don McClain.
