Mystery Writer. Pseudonym: Maria Lang. One of Sweden's most popular writers of detective stories. She wrote 43 novels, most of them about superintendent 'Christer Wijk'. She created the fictive country town "Skoga', which is synonymous to her home town of Nora. She made her debute in 1949 with "Mördaren ljuger inte ensam" (The murderer doesn't lie alone), and her last novel was released in 1990 - "Se Skoga och sedan...". The three best-sellers of her production are "Mördaren ljuger inte ensam", "Se döden dig väntar" (1955) and "Ugglor i mossen" (1974). She was one of twelve members of the "Swedish Detective Story Academy", founded in 1971. Her memory is commemorated with a statue in the city of Nora.
