Mr. Homer Royce Mauldin, resident of McCrory, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014. He was 85 years of age.

Mr. Mauldin was born in the Hilleman Community on March 10, 1929 ,to John and Fern Holder Mauldin.

He attended Hilleman and McCrory Schools and served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Mauldin attended the Whitehall Methodist Church. A very talented and versatile man, he loved squirrel hunting, woodworking, watching the Razorbacks and music. He played the guitar and even taught his son to play as well. Mr. Mauldin had worked for MoHawk Tire and Rubber for several years but retired from Halstead Industries in Wynne after 30 years of service. He was a 32nd degree Mason and belonged to the Masonic Lodge in Hunter, Arkansas.

Survivors include two sons, Tim Mauldin of St. Louis, MO and Greg Mauldin of Hermitage, AR., one daughter, Cristy Alsup of Barton, AR., one brother, Robert “Bob” Mauldin of Hilleman, five grand-children and one great-grand-child and a very special niece, Debbie McCue of McCrory.

A memorial service was held under the direction of Thompson Wilson Funeral Home.
