Lauren Mitchell BORDENTOWN - Lauren Mitchell, 55, passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at home, with her family by her side. Born in Trenton, Lauren had lived in the Bordentown area all of her life. She was a graduate of the Bordentown Regional High School, Class of 1977, and received her undergraduate, master's and principal/supervisor degrees at Trenton State College. Lauren was a teacher with the Bordentown Regional School District and with the Upper Freehold Township School District in Allentown, NJ. She was a member of the (UFREA) Upper Freehold Regional Education Association, and was the adviser for the National Honor Society for Allentown High School. Lauren was also an active member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Bordentown. Lauren especially enjoyed spending time at her shore home in Manahawkin. Predeceased by her parents, Alick and Elizabeth Mitchell, and her sister, Barbara Melton, Lauren is survived by her sister, Katherine Larson and her husband, Richard, of Melrose, MA; nieces and nephews, Karen Marazzi and her husband, Carlo; Christina Grove and her husband, John; Richard Larson and his wife, Lisa; Daniel Larson and his wife, Trecha, and Stephen Melton, as well as great-nieces, Carmen Marazzi and Ana Marazzi, and great-nephews, Carlo Marazzi and Dean Larson; her cousin, Delores Van Liew, and her brother-in-law, John Melton and his wife, Teresa. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 339 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown, NJ 08505. Friends may call Sunday afternoon 4 - 7 p.m. at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lauren's name to the Trinity United Methodist Church.
