Deaths.
Colbert: Mrs. Josephine Colbert, aged 85 years and 4 months, died Tuesday morning, September 28, 1915, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Huldah Hilyard, Severy, Kansas, following a stroke of paralysis suffered eight days prior to her death. Mrs. Colbert had enjoyed remarkably good health for one of her advanced age. Mrs. Colbert was twice married and was the mother of eight children of whom only two are living a son by her first husband, Manford Evans, and a daughter, Mrs. Hilyard, Ottie Hilyard Souders, deceased, wife of C.A. Souders, of Eureka, was a daughter of Mrs. Huldah Hilyard and granddaughter of Mrs. Colbert. Mrs. T.J. Souders and daughter, Miss Ella, C.A. Souders and children, Erma and Estol, attended the funeral held from the Congregational church at Severy at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. E.V. Gardner, of Eureka, former pastor of the Congregational church at Severy. Burial was in Severy cemetery.
