Mrs Roberta Fargis McDaniel, 78, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Azalea Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington, NC.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Forbis & Dick Pleasant Garden Chapel with interment following the service at Lakeview Memorial Park.
Born October 31, 1936 to the late Floyd and Glady Fargis, Mrs. McDaniel was a native of Guilford County and worked for Bell South for 35 years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and also a member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church and cared deeply for her church friends. Mrs. McDaniel was a very loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. McDaniel was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Ray McDaniel; her son David Ray Martin; and her brother Billy Fargis.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Annette Martin Baxley and her husband Alan, of Wilmington, NC; her brother Rufus Fargis and wife Brenda of Pleasant Garden, NC; her sister-in-law Donna Fargis; and two grandchildren, Lindi Baxley and Kelly Baxley.
