Karen passed away at the age of 68 on Sunday morning December 28, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center in Wabasha where she had resided since July 2013.
Karen Kay Allen was born December 7, 1946 in Spring Valley to Floyd and Florence (Bendickson) Allen. She attended school in the Spring Valley area graduating from Spring Valley High School in 1964. On january 2, 1965 she married Frebert "Bud" Schultz in Stevensville, Mich.
Karen lived in various locations in southeastern Minnesota including Spring Valley, Kasson and Zumbrota. She also lived in Pepin, Wisc., for a while. She was former member of the Pine Island and spring Valley Assembly of God Church. Karen enjoyed genealogy and was a member of various genealogy organizations. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking and cooking especially for her family.
Survivors include her husband, 2 daughters, 4 sons, 23 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 sisters and one brother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and three brothers.
Friends and family may visit from 1PM to 4PM Thursday January 1, 2015 at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel in Plainview and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
