Julia Edwards Knight age 95 passed away peacefully Sunday, December 28th at the Optimum Personal Care Assisted Living in Missouri City, TX. A prominent resident of San Antonio, Texas since 1950. Ms. Knight was an outstanding education administrator and community volunteer. She was a long time member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and totally committed to enhancing the San Antonio community and the world for over 70 years. She leaves to mourn her passing her devoted Daughter Linda Knight-Burkley, Son in law Edward L. Burkley III, loving Grandson, Edward L. Burkley IV and a host of devoted family members and close friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be held Friday, January 2nd, from 5-8 pm at Sugar Land Mortuary. Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Memorial Service will begin at 7:00 pm.
Home going Services will be Saturday, January 3rd, 1:00 p.m. at Emmanuel A.M.E. Church 1600 Semlinger Rd. San Antonio , TX. A viewing at 11:00 a.m. and Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority incorporated Ivy Beyond the Wall Ceremony at 12:00 noon. Entombment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum, San Antonio, TX.
