A funeral service for Gail B. Hughes, 85, of Newark, will be held
11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home, with Rev. Jim
Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Bell Church Cemetery.

Mr. Hughes, passed away, November 23, 2004, at his residence. He was
born Oct. 20, 1919 in Licking County. He proudly served his country
during WW II in the U.S. Army 61st Combat Engineers and received 5
bronze stars. He retired in 1982 from Kaiser Aluminum after serving
for 32 years. He was a member of the Central Christian Church, he was
a union steward and chairman of the safety committee at Kaiser
Aluminum, served as Kaiser loaned executive for the United Way, member
of V.F.W., Elks Lodge #391, coached Babe Ruth Baseball for 13 years,
loved camping, fishing and the outdoors. He enjoyed being with his
grandchildren and vacationing in Florida during the winter months.

He is survived by his wife Juanita E. (Bebout) Frizzell-Hughes. They
have celebrated 45 years of marriage. He is also survived by two
daughters, Connie Sanders of Newark, Linda (Roger) Metcalf of Newark;
two sons, Rex (Nancy) Frizzell of Newark and Gary (Jennifer) Frizzell
of Louisville, Ky.; Grandchildren, Scott (Danenne) Sanders, Mindy
(Ron) Sanders-McDaniel, Roger Metcalf, Samantha Frizzell, Justin
Hipkins, Jacob Kerger, Meredith Frizzell, Zach Frizzell; Great
Grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Hunter, Brittany, Justin, Rachel and Ryan.

In addition to his parents, one brother and two sisters preceded him
in death.
