B.L. (Bernardine) Wendland, was born March 28, 1933 in Red Rock Texas. He attended school in Rockne, Texas at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a mechanic by trade and a rancher by heart. After working for the Ford Implement Company in Lockhart Texas for numerous years, he opened his own business, Wendland's Garage, in 1977. He was a wealth of knowledge concerning vehicles, tractors, livestock and vegetation. B.L. enjoyed fishing, hunting and trips to the Gulf Coast.

B.L. passed away at his home on Monday December 29, 2014.

He was preceded in death by his mother Katie Wentland.

He is survived by his children and their spouses and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Terry & Lisa Wendland and their children, Krystal (3 children), Curtis (1 child), Stacy & Clinton Tiner (3 children) and Marcie & Cody Wilhelm (1 child). Glenn Wendland and children Glenn Jr. & Stephanie (3 children) and Amber. Lawrence Wendland and sons, Michael, Logan and Wyatt. Amanda & Wayman Lott, daughters Kaylyn and Anna. Tammy Wendland and children Gabriel and Kristen.

The family invites you to celebrate his life with a visitation at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited with the funeral mass immediately following at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockne, Texas. Burial will be at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery.
