Archie V. (Mike) Brown, 39, 1216
48th street, Moline, Ill., died at
2:50 p.m. (DST), July 6 at the
Moline Lutheran hospital.
Mr. Brown was born December 1,
1923, the son of Commodore and
Myrtle Lanfier Brown. He lived in
Muscatine for four years.
He married Burna Harter, August 5,
1955, at Muscatine. He was a mem-
ber of the First Baptist church.
He served in the Navy during World
War II.
Mr. Brown was employed as custo-
dian at the Arsenal Tower.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Burna
Brown; two sons, Thomas Robert
and Harold Cleo, both at home;
two daughters, Nancy Kay and Janet
Lea, both at home; a brother, Cleo
Brown, Muscatine; and four sisters,
Mrs. Ben Sharer, Davenport, Mrs.
Glenn Potter, Buffalo, Mrs. Kenneth
Phillips, Muscatine, and Mrs. Leroy
Spoonmore, Muscatine.
He was preceded in death by his
parents and a brother.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Mon-
day, July 8, at the Geo. M. Wittich
Funeral Home with burial at Green-
wood cemetery.
