Professional Hockey Player. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, he began his hockey career in that city before moving to play in Rossland (1933-36) and Trail (1936-41) in the British Columbia interior. With the Smoke Eaters he competed for the Allan Cup (1938,40,41) and the World Championship (1939). Dame played a season in the National Hockey League with the Montreal Canadiens (1941-42) before joining the Canadian military. He return to play senior hockey in Calgary in 1944 and continued to 1950. He worked for Calgary Power for 32 years before retiring in 1977.
