Auguste Krohn was born in Hamburg, Germany. She was the eldest daughter of August Carl Bothmann 1854-1919 and Maria Mahn 1865-1943. She married August Krohn and had two sons, Wilhelm and Gerd Krohn. She lived her whole life in Germany. While visiting her son Gerd's family in Vancouver, she passed away peacefully in her sleep on Christmas, 1953. She was preceeded in death by her parents, two brothers, Friedrick and Karl, and sister Johanna and is survived by sister Jenny Wilde and brother Otto Bothman(n).
