Mary was first married to Moses Rittenhouse, Sr. with whom she had six children:

* Moses Rittenhouse, Jr. 1758 - 1806 who married Sarah Wood c. 1790
* Catharine Hall 1760 - 1849 who married Joseph Hall and may have moved to Berks Co., PA
* Sarah King 1761 - 1849 who married Jeremiah King 1779
* Mary Foster 1763 - 1849 who married Jeremiah Foster
* Patience Rea or Rhea 1765 - 1817 who married Isaac Rea 1792
* Hannah Dalrymple 1767 - 1838 who married John Wesley Dalrymple 1785 and moved to Preble County, Ohio c. 1823

About 1778 she married Albertus Ringo who died in 1800 and is buried near his first wife Catharine Godown at the 2nd Presbyterian Cemetery in Mt. Airy.

It has been reported that her birth name was Nye but I have seen no documentation. I have found no Nye family in Hunterdon in her time.

She died in 1819 and left her estate to her four living daughters and the children of the fifth. She did not leave anything to the children of her late son who had been provided for by Albertus Ringo's will.

It is not sure that she was buried here, but it is a good guess since she was a founding member of the Sandy Ridge Church and a member at the time of her death. She is not buried with her second husband. If she is not here, she may be with her first husband at the Rittenhouse Cemetery in Prallville.

She lived in a stone house near the Covered Bridge that is still standing. It was two stories and a basement with one room on each floor. It has been incorporated into a 20th century house with another 18th century stone house which was moved from another site.
