Graves, George W. Jr. – age 79 of Knoxville went to meet his Heavenly Father on Monday, December 29, 2014, with his loving family at his side. Member of Marbledale Baptist Church. George served in the US Army overseas. He liked boating, fishing, and enjoyed building and restoring antique cars. Despite saying "I'll never have another dog," Zoe was at his side. He loved his family and his church. He was especially proud of his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He will be greatly missed; he already is. Preceded in death by parents, George W. Graves, Sr. and Lucille Edith Paggett Graves. Survived by loving wife of 58 years, Kathy; daughters, Robin (Jerry) Lovell of Knoxville, and Angie (Jeffrey) Duignan of Strawberry Plains; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and fiancé Wes Bailey, Jacob Lovell, Bailey Duignan, Madison Lovell, and Geneva Duignan. A special thank you to the staff of UT Hospice who provided tender, loving care to our "Poppy." A special appreciation to Carolyn and Jane of the unique North Apopka community. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Neal and Rev. Randy Troutman officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:15 AM on Monday at East TN Veteran Cemetery-John Sevier for a 9:30 AM interment. Military honors will be provided by East TN Veteran Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marbledale Baptist Church Building Fund, 5935 Thorngrove Pike, Knoxville, TN 37914
