George is the son of Archibald Hazlett and Cynthia Hammond,he married Sarah Minerva Keyes of Jackson,Tioga Co.,PA. They are the parents of three daughters and one adopted son(Nephew-Minerva's sisters son)

Death of Former Tioga Man.

George W. Hazlett aged 71 years of Elmira, a former resident of Tioga, died at
the family; home in that city last Fnday evening. He was a native of this
county and lived for many years, in Tioga where he. conducted the hotel at the
Fall Brook station and also engaged in farming and tobacco growing.
The
deceased is survived by his widow and two daughters, Mrs. A. S. Rhodes and Miss
Alice Hazlett, both of Elmira and one adopted son, Don E. Baldwin, of Kansas
City, also by three brothers and one sister, William Hazlett, of Chicago. James
R. Hazlett, of Wellsboro, David Hazlett, of Westfteld, and Mrs. J. W. Ritter, of
Wellsboro.
Funeral services were held at the home in Elmira on Sunday
afternoon. Monday morning the remains were taken to Tioga, where the members of
Tioga Lodge, F. & A. M. conducted the committal service.

The
funeral of George W. Hazlett was held at the family home, 429 West Fifth street,
Sunday at 4 p. m. The Rev. Athru R. Rudd of Grace Church officiated, Members of
the F. & A. M. attended. The remains were removed over the Erie Railroad to
Tioga, Pa., this morning, where the members of Tioga Lodge F. and a. m. [sic],
attended the committal service.
