Phyllis Kay Fowler was born April 16, 1947, in Bay, Arkansas, to Fredrick Stuart and Ruth Ann (Calendar) Cooper. She departed this life Sunday, August 31, 2014, at Ozark Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 67 years, 4 months and 15 days.
Phyllis enjoyed sewing and decorating. She especially enjoyed and loved time spent with her family. Phyllis worked as an air traffic controller for Northwest Airlines and later worked as a dietician.
She is survived by two sons, Barry Fowler and wife Becky of Salem, Arkansas, and Donn Fowler and wife Crystal of Viola, Arkansas; sister, Mary Ann Ellis and husband Larry of Gassville, Arkansas; three brothers, Paul Cooper and wife Dee of Massillon, Ohio, Jerry Cooper and wife Debbie of Russellville, Arkansas, Warren Cooper and wife Shirley of Nixa, Missouri; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Wayne Cooper and Connith Cooper and one sister, Alma Foster.
Memorial services will be Saturday, September 6, 2014, 2:00 PM at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas, with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Memorials may be made to Rheumatoid Arthritis National Research Foundation at 200 Oceangate, Suite 830, Long Beach, CA 90802. Arrangements entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
