Motion picture character actor and publicist. Born Arthur Kevin Mailhoit, he came to Southern California in 1926 and appeared in dozens of films from 1934 to 1950, mostly in uncredited roles. Films include "The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo" (1935), Laurel and Hardy's "Our Relations" (1936), "The Gorilla" (1939), "Barnacle Bill" (1941), "Honky Tonk" (1941), "Johnny Eager" (1942), "My Favorite Blonde" (1942), "DuBarry Was a Lady" (1943), "Louisiana Hayride" (1944), "The Princess and the Pirate" (1944), "Paris Underground" (1945), "A Night in Paradise" (1946), "Desperate" (1947), "Colt .45" (1950) and "Perfect Strangers" (1950). Art Miles died at his home at 9648 Amanita Ave. in Tujunga of an acute coronary thrombosis and was survived by his wife Lydia; mother, Mrs. Emma Mailhoit; son, Kevin; sister, Mrs. Alice Burgan; and brothers, Robert and Leo Mailhoit.
