Peggy Ann Gay, 57, of Bellefontaine passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Grace Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio.

She was born in Bellefontaine on July 24, 1957 to the late Lowell Emerson and May Edna (Clinehens) Overly. On June 27, 1992 she married Bill Gay in and he survives in Bellefontaine. Peggy is also survived by her father-in-law Eugene Gay of Prospect, sister-in-law Toni Tyalor of Kentucky and special friend Kay Behrends of Prospect.

A 1975 graduate of Indian Lake High School, Peggy received a Bachelor of Science degree cum laude in 2003 from Urbana University and she taught school for Urbana City Schools. Peggy & Bill operated Wag-on-Wheels Mobile Pet Grooming and Bill & Peggy’s Pet Grooming – she loved grooming dogs and cats. She and Bill enjoyed trail riding with their horses, fishing, mushroom hunting, wildlife photography – especially eagles and bee-keeping. Peggy loved her cat Miaya and little dogs.

Peggy also designed and maintained websites for non-profit groups including The Logan County Humane Society, Western Ohio Bluegrass Association, King’s Daughters & Sons Ohio Branch, Maplecrest Assisted Living, Tuxis Circle and for the band Retread. Peggy was the Student Ministry Director for King’s Daughters & Sons. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the Pricilla Circle of United Methodist Women.

Pastor Ed Beale will conduct the funeral service on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 10:00am at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine where visitation will be held Friday, January 2, 2015 from 4-7pm. Burial will be in Glen Cemetery, Port Jefferson.
