A native of Alamance County, he was a retired salesman for Berry's Studebaker, and a member of South Point Presbyterian Church, Gastonia.
Surviving are son, Harold G. Christman of Greensboro; daughter, Mrs. Betty C. Masters of Belmont; brother, Dean Christman of Atlanta; sisters, Mrs. Iris Carter of Elon College, Mrs. Bernice Tickle of Elon College, Mrs. Judith Wyrick of Gibsonville, Gwendolyn Breedlove of Greensboro; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
