Sylvia Bush, 99 of Erie, beloved wife of the late, Joseph August Bush, died Saturday, December 27, 2014 at home with her family & dear friends. Celebration of Life services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 31, 2014, with Pastor Terry Green officiating at the Erie Christian Church, Erie. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM at the church. Burial will follow in the Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, IL. Memorials may be made to the Erie Christian Church.
Sylvia was born April 25, 1915 in Morrison, IL, the daughter of Ralph & Alina Voss. Sylvia was a longtime member of the Erie Christian Church. She worked for many years at the dry cleaners in Erie and she enjoyed gardening, sewing, embroidery, crocheting and was an avid reader. She had a passion for walking all over Erie and in recent years used the high school track.
Sylvia is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Pamela Bush, New Lenox, IL; grandchildren, Bradley Bush, Stephanie (John) Hosman, CoCo (Rob) Hollis, & Gary Bush, Jr.; great grandchildren, Lydia Grace Hollis, Jaclyn Bush, Landon, Tyler, Mitchell, Jackson and Jayna Hosman; two sisters, Corlin (Bill) Vance & Jeannette Johansen; dear sister-in-law, Eloise Voss; and beloved friends and caregivers, Amy Clark & daughters Seana & Schyler. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe, daughter Phyllis, four brothers and two sisters.
