Alfred "George" Lanford graduated Harlandale High School 1947 and retired S W Bell 1986 passed away on December 25, 2014.
George was a loving husband to Patricia Banker Lanford for 56 years until she passed in 2008.
He was a wonderful father and grandfather who is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. He was hard working, loved the Dallas Cowboys, the outdoors and auto racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Hazel Lanford; brother; Harrell Boyd Lanford.
He is survived by his daughters: Karen Lanford McGehee and son in-law Curtis; Janice Lanford Guedry and son in-law Joel; Grandson: Everett Boyd Lanford Guedry; Brother: David Warner Lanford; nephews: David, Jeff and Barry Lanford; sister-inlaw and husband: Cindy Banker Mueller and Brett Mueller; nephews and nieces: Brett, Chelby, Bryan and Christina.
Visitation will be at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway on Monday December 29, 2014 from 6pm to 8pm.
The funeral service will be at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday Dec 30, 2014 at 12pm with Graveside services to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
