Gary served his country in the U.S. Navy as an Aircraft Engine Mechanic in the Patrol Squadron Forty-Two, from 1957 to 1960. He was employed with, and retired from UPS. Gary was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church, Goldwing Motorcycle Club, Retread Motorcycle Club, the RV Ozark Ridge Runners, the Republic Mason Lodge, and the American Legion Post 676.
Gary is survived by his wife, Betty (McGehee) Hale; two children and their spouses, Tyler and Jenell Hale and Tammy and Terry Lair; seven grandchildren, Chas, Charity, Tiffany, Ashton, Jeremy, Eric, and Nicole; 10 great grandchildren; siblings and their spouses, Larry and Darlene Hale, Stan and Brenda Hale, and Jeanne Jones; two brothers in law, Bob MeGehee and Don McGehee and wife Joann; two aunts, Reba Hale and Marie Breshears.
Burial, with Military Honors, in Smart Cemetery, between Clever and Billings, Mo.
