Mr. Donald C. Blair , age 89, of Merriam, KS, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2001, at his residence. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 27, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf. Interment in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association.
Mr. Blair was born February 6, 1912 in Richmond, MO, to William and Daisy Blair . He was the owner of Blair Furnace Company, before retiring in 1974. Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Estle Bernice Blair on April 6, 1979. Survivors include two sons, Ronald Blair of Stilwell, KS and Donald Blair of Bonner Springs, KS; four grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; and two sisters.
