Letha Scott of Yuma, Arizona, passed away at her home on Saturday, December 20, 2014. She was born on February 28, 1929 to Carl and Lilly Lowry in Houston, Texas. The family moved to Yuma in the mid 1940's. She graduated from Yuma High School. Letha met and married Bob Butcher, they later divorced. Letha moved to Phoenix in the mid 1970's. She attended school and studied medical assisting. Letha worked for Dr. Gene Davis for many years as an Office Manager. On July 4, 1976, she married her loving husband, Tom Scott and they spent 26 wonderful years together in Scottsdale, Flagstaff, and Yuma. They enjoyed traveling and spending time with their families.

Letha was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Scott.

She is survived by her son, Dr. Bruce Butcher (Linda); daughter, Janet Jones (Michael); step-son, Jock Scott (Laurie); step-daughter, Mollie Acosta; grandchildren, Tim Butcher, Ryan Butcher, Casey Butcher, Michael Osborn, Jack Osborn, Sky Scott, and Mercy Perkins; and 6 great grandchildren.

Please join family and friends in a Celebration of Life from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at her home, 1410 E. Pebble Beach, Yuma. According to Letha's wishes, she was cremated and her final resting place will be by her parents. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Yuma.
