Shelby - Iva Mae Mellon Moore, 71, of 727 Ed Hamrick Road, Shelby, passed away Sunday, December 28, at Carolina Care Center in Cherryville.

Born August 20, 1943 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late James Franklin Mellon and Macie Jane Philbeck Mellon. Mrs. Moore worked as an LPN for Ocean Trail Convalescent Center.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Mellon.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband of 30 years, Hugh Harold Moore; son, Jeff Willard of Shelby; daughter, Jada Mellon of Shelby; three adopted daughters, Michelle Nobles of Lumberton, Jessica Nobles of Southport and Whitney Moore of Wilmington; two stepsons, Shawn Moore of Winnabow and Olin Moore of Lake Wales, Fl; two sisters, Virginia Pearson of Shelby and Inez Philbeck of Cherryville; six grandchildren, Katelyn Willard, Sara Moore, Jonathan Moore, Monica Hewitt, Lane Hewitt and Jessica Hewitt; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Tuesday at Redeemed Pentecostal Holiness Church, Shelby

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Tuesday at Redeemed Pentecostal Holiness Church, Shelby

Officiating: Revs. Coye Sanders and Tim Wilson

Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston
