Victoria M. "Vicki" (Bovat) Rice, 95

WORCESTER - Victoria Mae "Vicki" (Bovat) Rice, 95, passed away Saturday, May 10 at Dodge Park Rest Home.

Her husband of 31 years, Charles R. Rice died in 1972. She leaves five children, Charles F. Rice and his wife, Barbara of Rutland, Raymond J. Rice of Oxford; Nancy M. Gould and her husband, Kenneth of Worcester, Patricia C. Wrobel and her husband, Paul of Dudley and Kathleen M. Kozielewicz and her companion, Henry of Webster; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren and a special niece, Jean Matte of Southbridge. A brother, William Bovat; a sister, Frances Napierata and a daughter in law, Debra-Ann Rice predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, son of Philip and Della (Russell) Bovat.

Vicki was a professional stitcher and head seamstress at St. Vincent Hopsital for 35 years, before retiring. She was a member of the former St. Catherine of Sweden Church. Vicki was a devoted grandmother, who loved to take care of her grandhchildren. She enjoyed crossword puzzles,sewing,knitting sweaters, listening to Elvis and Neil Diamond and traveling with friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. David Weinstock and his wife, Carol and the entire staff at Dodge Park Nursing Center for all their care and support.

A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, May 15 at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart-St. Catherine Church, 600 Cambridge St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, the American Heart Association , 20 Speen St., Framingham, 01701.
