Born July 10, 1925, in Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Byron and Mary Katie Williams Graves. She worked for 35 years at Bradshaw Drugs and was a member of the Athens Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Watkins on December 11, 1990; and son-in-law, J. C. Ray.
She is survived by one son and his wife, one daughter, sister Mary K of Lebanon; and brother, Charles of Maryville., four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Watkins are scheduled for Sunday, February 8 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation Saturday 12 Noon – 8 p.m. and after 11 a.m. Sunday at Ligon & Bobo.
