He was survived by his parents Leslie and Joseph Englehardt, Grandparents - Marion and John Conaway of Ballinger. His father was deployed in operation Desert Storm and was flown home after his birth. It was his mothers dream to have a child, she was a fragile diabetic and carried John Joseph to full term, but he died during childbirth. Leslie's body was severely weakened following his birth, and died 2 years later following complications from renal failure.
He is buried at the foot of his great grandfathers grave (Leslie Lee Robinson) with his mothers grave at his side.
