Clinton "Fos" Foster Goodwin Jr was a graduate of Haverhill High School in the Class of 1937 and was known as the "Crooner". He was in the Dramatic Club, played basketball, baseball and was involved in the Philomathian Senior Executive Committee.
In 1939 he was attending Massachusetts State College in Boston and was majoring in Landscape Architecture. He was a member of the School Band and the Landscape Club. He played Basketball, Hockey and Soccer. He was in the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He later attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
