Linda L. (Lindsey) Risinger, 60, of Blairsville, (Black Lick Township), passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at her home, after a struggle of almost four years with pancreatic cancer. She was born July 6, 1952, in McKeesport, a daughter of Kenneth and Theresa (Tedesco) Lindsey. Linda was employed by Fairmont Supply and partnered with her husband to get Risinger Landscaping Supplies and Excavating, Indiana, established in 1993. She was also an auditor for 20 years in Black Lick Township. Throughout Linda’s life, she was active with 4-H volunteering with Mahoning Riders and was a leader in Southern Sharp Shooter while her children were growing up. She loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Lindsey; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Geraldine Risinger. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the SHOEMAKER FUNERAL HOME INC., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville. A service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Assembly of God, Indiana, with Pastor Jake Shelatz and Pastor Dick Motving co-officiating.
