Virginia Minnick Albert, age 94, of Parrott, died Friday evening, December 26, 2014 in Highland Ridge Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 25, 1920 in Parrott, and was the daughter of the late Dove Quesenberry Minnick and Fred Minnick.
She was a long-time member of the Parrott Methodist Church. She was a retired nurse’s aid at Broaddus Hospital in Philippi, WV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Albert and former husband Charles Ketchem (87517947), son Danny Ketchum, brothers Billy, Donald (40602547), Jack(79479315), and Harry(37661314?) , also Grandson Victor Albert.
Left to cherish her memory is a daughter-in-law, Jane Ketchum Fike of Philippi, WV; sons, Nelson Albert, and Barry Albert; daughter Brenda Whittaker; daughter Brenda Whittaker, of Elon, NC; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Virginia’s life will be held Monday, December 29, 2014 at Seagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Teresa Tolbert officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.
